Sympathy
I honestly feel no sympathy for Othello. Even if Desmona would have actually cheated on him, it still gives him no right to take her life. I sort of felt bad for him until he actually did kill her. He didn't really have enough evidence to make such a large decision either. I also feel enraged at Iago. Everyones lives were perfect before he came along. It was only his sad twisted life that wasn't going the way he wanted. I sort of relate him to Grendal because she reacted to her horrible life by ruining everyone’s wonderful life. Desmona should also get no sympathy. She should know her man enough to see that something is bothering him and that she needs to try to fix it. She should also have been smart enough to not talk about other men in front of her man. She’s just clueless about what a real girlfriend should be. Cassio I do feel sympathy for though. Cassio really did nothing wrong. Sure he got wasted and messed up everyone has those days. Othello shouldn’t have fired him because he was drunk (even though he stabbed a man). He still was a great leader worthy of his title. His journey does seem like something I could relate to, however. Kids are always making up lies to hate people and most of them believe it. There are even more rumors now than in Othello, though these rumors don’t seem to stay as long as Iago made his to be. That’s probably why we don’t end up killing people over rumors. These rumors just don’t last which is why is doesn’t matter in these times.

what plannith thee Iago
Iago's basic plan is to get Othello to fire Cassio by framing Cassio and saying that he's trying to get with Othello's girl. During this framing process, Iago has managed to manipulate Rodrigo into thinking that he could get Desmona to like him in exchange for all of his money. Iago is excellent at manipulated people and is going to focus on his goal and doesn't really care about Desmona liking Rodrigo in the end. Iago also gets Rodrigo to follow Othello to Cypress in order to get his plan going.
I really think that this plan will work because Othello has no idea that Iago has done anything to him. Othello even thinks that Iago is on his side because he even ends up warning him when Brabanzio is coming to get him. Iago is a brilliant man who can easily manipulate people and fool people into thinking he's on their side. His plan to get Othello to think Cassio is trying to steal Desmona from him is also just a great plan. Desmona won't stop worrying about her man and keeps turning to Cassio for answers. Cassio tries to calm her down and even end up holding her hand. This is the perfect story for Iago to turn around and make it look like Cassio is trying to swoop in and take her. Othello has also decided to have a celebration for Cypress's victory over the Turks. This gathering will most likely have drinking and I'm sure that Iago would love nothing more than to fool the drunk, gullible Othello. Cassio could also be impaired on this night, which would make it even harder for him to defend himself. Not only these things but it's also the celebration of Othello's marriage to Desmona. This is showing that their relationship is about to take a big step and hearing that Cassio is about to ruin it all would make Othello furious.
